We are a food hub business that is owned and operated by farmers and connects local people, businesses, and institutions to nearby family farms who produce some of the highest quality food available anywhere.  The farms we work with stack up against the best of them! 

We act as an interface where local farmers and regular people come together to support one another.  We work hard everyday to create a space where local farmers and artisans can move their products to the people and businesses who want them, this strengthens our local economy and nourishes families at the same time.  For us, it really doesn’t get any better than that! 

LFC sells wholesale to many area restaurants, stores, and institutions.  In addition, we have an online store where folks can purchase subscriptions for regular produce and meat deliveries. By signing up for a subscription like our Butcher Box, a monthly meat share, or our Multi-Farm Box, a weekly produce share, you can easily get regular deliveries of farm fresh foods to one of our many drop off locations in the region.

ask us all the time about the advantages of a CSA or the Subscription model of food distribution. What’s so good about it?  Why are people and farms all over the country and world turning to it?  The truth is: CSAs are really special both for you and for the farms it supports.

By choosing to support our Community Supported Agriculture program, you make a very powerful commitment to purchase sustainable grown produce that positively impacts our local economy, personal health, and our planet. The CSA/Subscription model helps to keep sustainable farming a viable way of life for small-scale family farms that are increasingly threatened by large-scale agribusiness.  Family farms that work with LFC farm an average of 3-4 acres. 

Farming is a tradition in Northeastern PA and Upstate NY and has been inherited by many of the farmers who work with LFC.  There are also many younger farmers who wish to carry on this tradition and by purchasing a CSA share you help ensure that this tradition can be passed down to future generations of family farms. Additionally, at the grocery store, sustainable grown produce is often marked up 50-150% and most of it isn't grown locally!  The CSA model connects people directly with local family farmers and the prices that you will be receiving are more comparable to wholesale prices.

help our wholesale customers source products from local and regional family for their restaurants, catering businesses, grocery stores, and any organizations where food is prepared and served. There is so much interest in locally produced foods now that people expect to see it when they go out to eat or at their kid’s schools or when they’re shopping at the grocery store.  Unfortunately, actually working with individual farms can be a very difficult and frustrating process, there are so many phone calls, emails, and logistics that most chefs and produce managers just give up even though they know that there customers want that local food!  Fortunately, we’ve streamlined the process for you.  We have a weekly wholesale price list that includes the current inventory of the many farms and artisans that we work with.  We have worked for several years now to make every transaction with the LFC as smooth as possible.  We want to see local, farm to table foods be available everywhere and all the time!! 

We know convenience and time saving measures are important to our area chefs, caterers and other wholesale customers. You can also choose to have a conversation with our salesperson, if that’s what it takes for us to serve you better. We understand that the needs of restaurants and institutions differ from those of our individual customers, and we’re ready to answer your questions and take your order. Shooting us an email works, too! If you prefer to place your order by phone, A salesperson will be available to take your call each and every Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Your order will be harvested, washed, and packed or otherwise prepared and then delivered to the LFC. Our team will then make sure that your order will be delivered directly to your location. 

Deliveries are made to our wholesale customers every Wednesday and Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All payments for orders placed by phone or email are Cash On Delivery. Invoices will be emailed to all wholesale customers, and additional paper copies will be delivered with every order.
